Hey guys! Hope you’re having a nice evening here 🙂 My grandma showed me an old photo of my grand-grandfather and I’m quite interested where it was taken. He served in Polish army in the mid-war period (somewhere in between 1921 and 1939) and he’s originally from Orchowek (a village near Wlodawa).

I bet the text from the photo could tell us more about the location. Unfortunately, the letters are indistinct and I’m not able to read any of it.
I did some googling using the information that you have provided and I found out that [9 Pułk Artylerii Ciężkiej](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_Pu%C5%82k_Artylerii_Ci%C4%99%C5%BCkiej_(II_RP)) stationed in barracks next to Sztabowa street in Włodawa around that time. So maybe the photo was taken there
I’ve found a similar looking plaque dated back to 1918 (photo 2 is from 1926) (the bird is on top too, but looks different). Looks similar but the text doesn’t match.[The plaque I mentioned above; text is there but clearly different. Pic1](https://www.zinfo.pl/imagePliki/10191.jpg)
Here is [Pic2](https://www.zinfo.pl/imagePliki/10193.jpg)
Edit: This monument is apparently in Gozdnica, forgot to mention in first iteration of comment.
