Rachel Reeves: Corbyn allowed ‘downplaying, excusing, or denial of antisemitism’

  1. >In a speech delivered to the annual Labour Friends of Israel lunch…

So there’s a group within Labour that wishes to independantly declare itself best buds with Israel..? Sounds like a propaganda / influence front, tbh.

    >Corbyn allowed ‘downplaying, excusing, or denial of antisemitism’

Lets read further into the article shall we, find out what this might have possibly been about. Oh look – to the surprise of no-one:

    >Reeves also made clear that her party would not tolerate the demonisation of Israel.
    >
    >“When you claim the actions of the Israeli government are uniquely evil or even akin to the crimes of Nazi Germany, this goes well beyond legitimate criticism of Israel,” she said.
    >
    >”It is antisemitism and has no place in a party which upholds equality as its highest value.”

Criticism of a government and its actions is in no way antisemitic; as expected, this comes down to the extended definition of antisemitism where Israel attempts to hide its actions behind a religious veil. A country or its government cannot be Jewish; its people are Jewish. It’s about as daft as the American idea that corporations can be classed as people.

    >Reeves announced that Labour would turn to Israel for advice on upholding the highest standards over artificial intelligence.(AI).

Turning to Israel for advice on ‘upholding the highest standards over AI’? What nonsense is this.

    >..a Labour government would be “pro Israel, pro Palestine and pro peace.”

These words mean less than nothing; you can’t be ‘pro-Israel’ and also ‘pro-Palestine’ – the positions are mutually exclusive.

What a nonsense speech, given to a room full of virtue-signalers and those who are still so threatened by Corbyn that they continue to feel they have to put nonsense like this out there.
