Pizza place in Cork think ripping up Pepperoni into pieces is an acceptable topping.

  1. They must have been running low on pepperoni because why else would you bother, it’s not as if the young fella behind the counter making minimum wage would give a shite and go to all that trouble.

  2. I’m not so sure about black olives. I recently ordered a pizza with them on it and it didn’t work. My go to pizza is pepperoni or spicy Italian sausage, chorizo, peppers, mushrooms, jalpeños.

  3. Are those whole pieces of pepperoni rather large? Some of the curves on the pizza suggest they might be.

It might make more sense to tear them up and distribute them more across the pizza.

  4. As someone who is working part time at a pizzeria I noticed like most things, buying the supplies for pizza is getting more expensive.

  5. name and shame man, I live in cork and love some Italian sausage… last thing I want is to be left disappointed with less than sufficient sausage

  6. No sorry as someone who has worked in pizza places, depending on what size you order it should be a certain number of pepperoni slices. Dominoes actually weigh their ingredients, and this does not include shredding the pepperoni. This would make me question where else are they saving money.

  7. It needs more, but I’d be ok with this. Rather than getting massive round bits that I can’t bite through so I get a 1000° bit of pepperoni slapping off my chin.

  8. Nevermind ripping up the pepperoni, the truly shocking thing is the state of that pizza. We truly have some of the worst pizza in the world here in Ireland

  9. What were you going to decorate the Christmas tree with pepperoni medallions? You got pepperoni, did you specifically ask for circular pepperonis? If not you have no complaints.

  10. You think olives have a place on a pizza. Im not sure you’re qualified to have an opinion!

    Fight me! 🙂

EDIT: Kind of a fan of plainish bacon and mushroom myself.

  11. Scanty cheap bastards. And who sliced the thing, Stevie Wonder?

Whoever made this fallacy of a pizza should be on trial at the Hague.

  12. Proper Italian pepperoni can come in huge sausage shapes. Like 4+ inches wide. You can’t cover a pizza in cross section slices in this case. It would prevent the pizza underneath from cooking properly as the peperoni would cover so much. Dough would be soggy. They just shred it in this case.

That said your pizza looks like a mouse had first go with the pepperoni

Side note: I once got a pizza where the guy just decided to lob in the end of an enormous pepperoni sausage as he obviously couldn’t be arsed shredding it. Was a huge lump of a thing. Not cool. I chopped it up, cooked it and all was well again.
