How a Russian invasion of Ukraine could spill over into Europe

  1. No really? How could invading countries embolden one to invade more countries? I mean there is no way that Russia would think about using Russian minorities in the Baltic states to destabilise them and invite more invasions.

  2. One always wonders why Russia needs more territory as it is already, and by far, the largest country on Earth. And then one remembers that their economy is nothing else than an extractive one that cannot sustain itself without new land grabs to compensate for the overexploitation of past resources. On top of that, an ageing population further commands for annexations to desperately try to maintain an acceptable demographic level. In other words, they have cornered themselves into not being able to survive unless they invade others.

  3. >Speaking to journalists, including the BBC, the senior intelligence official, who asked not to be named, said: “Let’s not be blind. If Russia initiates a scenario of any kind it will also initiate action against Nato members”.

    >”To think war could be contained to one nation would be foolish,” they added.

I guess he wanted to remain anonymous because he’s saying stupid shit.

Russia already used force against Ukraine. Didn’t attack NATO. Why would they?

  4. Tell Vlad he can calm down the American military has hyped up China and Russia and any other threat for months before recent passage of another increased defense budget. Time to chill until this time next year another budget has to pass.

  5. Honeyt question… was it the new BBC or Reuters chief editor that it was revealed was a spook for the CIA for 35 years prior to taking this job?

  6. If Europe let this happen I really think the ukranians should just bomb the hell of the gasolines in their territory and let Europe freeze.
