I take no responsibility for this image, it was send by a person that does not work there only knows people who do work there. I can be completely wrong or this image can be made up, but I think it’s a real story.
Wrocław, Poland.

Whoever wrote that email showed a mentality of a kindergarten child. I am not a fan of trade unions, but they are part of a polish labor law.
The person who received that message should lawyer up and reply with mobbing charges.
Isn’t this the second such post about Sii and this guy I’ve seen lately?
Very good.
When you do not like your job, quit.
You are neither a slave, nor a feudal subject,
nor a citizen of a communist coutry,
if you consider yourself too valuable
for a particular company – leave.
Do not bother millions of people with it,
stealing money from them for you not
doing anything, but being dissatisfied.
State money always comes from taxpayers,
anything dotated by the state is stolen
from workers to fund something else,
like egoist workers, as in this example.
Can only agree with this. A company is not a welfare institution. If you want to have a say in the company buy their stocks and don’t work as a worker for them. That’s just stupid.
I am a software engineer with 15 years of experience. I really see no reason for any working union for software engineers in Poland. It is employees job market. Everyone is approached by recruiters at least few times a week and the salary gets really attractive with experience fast. And the pandemic really decreased the salary gap with the US.
So there is no need for any union unless you are bad at your job but want to get the conditions like hardworking people do.
Why on english though?
Sąd pracy robi brrrrrrrr
Good.
The e-mail is awfully written and someone lost his touch. But ultimately the point is right – people don’t care about unions in IT. You get paid well, you have a lot of flexibility in your working schedule, there is not even close to any monopoly. Why the fuk would people who work in the greatest common-accessible job want someone to fuk around with them and their money indirectly? Hell no. Mind your own business. It’s not a warehouse.
Hopefully the company gets fucked and leaves Poland. The market will be filled instantly by Polish local competitors.

Very difficult to judge. I would have to meet this guy personally and see if he was indeed a troublemaker / revolutionist or a legit guy who just wanted to improve something. I know people who are very contrarian by nature and they just make a mess, slow down the company and make people angry even though nothing bad is happening.
Jezu jak ja nienawidzę kapitalistów
This is Europe, not USA. After 10 years of working all over Europe, not even once I saw a necessity for a union. Maybe in Greece, but even there it’s not going to work because of corruption
r/antiwork
This company invited me for a job interview once. I didn’t apply, they just contacted me randomly on LinkedIn. The lady who ran the interview didn’t know what salary they can offer me.
Of course my sources are questionable. However since it has been making the rounds in Poland, I heard from another person that worked previously in the same company as the guy that got fired and tried to setup a union.
Drama queen and should seek mental help was what was stated.
r/antiwork material
That’s one way to violate polish constitution
“discuss your eventual problems” – I’m surprised to read that a French person wrote it, I thought it’s a typically Polish/English false friend.
The letter seems childish, but at the end it’s understandable.
Nobody likes / wants to work with a little commie agitator.
He can appeal the termination under polish labor laws.
Fits both r/antiwork and r/LinkedInLunatics. His follow-up letter on LinkedIn is gasoline on a dumpster fire.
Fuk Sii
Fiu fiu, chcieli mnie tam zrekrutować…
They don’t need unions, but they definitely need someone who can write emails nicely.
O wy skurwysyny jedne, czas odpalić warszawiankę xD
What irks me the most about these emails are the not-so-subtle comments about how Poland was supposed to be the paradise of cheap labour and no fuss law, AnD nOw ThIs GuY is RuiNiNg iT fOr EvEryBodY!!1 I’m gonna take my precious jobs somewhere else!!
Ffs, I wish we would start to be treated by West as equals for a change. This is not a third world country, and especially in company like this, employees have the upper hand. Doesnt this numbnut realize that his employees are skilled, educated and in a moment’s notice can just resign for other roles?
‘Who kill their employers’ what a diva.
This letter sounds like talking points used by politicians in the US when faced with unionization. Bastards.
gee, my boi got so angry he forgot all of the correct tense forms of the word “quit”.
he then quitted to the most miserable form of response – threatening with law actions.
*~~if i received this i would burn the whole office building down, respectfully though~~*
Also, how does he imagine his company being “respectful, friendly” and anyhow “open to employees” if he states he “is looking for open-minded individuals, *not those fools who want to govern themselves*”
also my man is a big fan of unordered lists I see..
He was supposed to get fired anyway, But the second 6 months hit, he created this BS Union. (You need to work 6 months to create a union).
In his posts he promised that those who will join the union will have higher salary. What he didnt say, those that wouldnt, would have lower salaries. His demand are to “equalize” salaries within IT teams so experience wouldt matter, and those on lower level would get more But those who actually do the job would get less xDD
CEO is almost as retarded as this employee.
You can see CEO is an idiot from the posted mail, if he were clever he would not directly disregard polish trade union laws and just find other way/reason to fire that guy.
This dude works there at help desk and one of the postulates ment to get people to sign up to the trade union was that everyone working the project should get equal salary as they put in equal effort. No matter if you are solution architect or junior dev(or perhaps a helpdesk worker, funny how the guy is not a senior dev lol) while you are there please include a janitor that mops the office floor, I’m sure he is putting a lot of effort also.
Imagine how well that went in it company, i bet he is a laughing stock there and rightfully so.
The fact that they have a survey called ” Great Place to Work Survey” tells a lot about how they deal with criticism. My old workplace had a similar thing where every survey question had 5 answer options, but all positive with no possibility to critique anything.
“Sii plans to use slave labour instead of paying employees. Please choose your level of agreement:
1. Strongly Agree
2. Mildly Agree
3. Partially Agree
4. Agree
5. Have no opinion about it.”
This email is so disrespectful and against Polish Law, that I cannot comment on this. This case will go to court and SII have no chance …
Sii Łodź HR, how do you feel right now? You were just blamed for the situation because you recruited the man. Shame on you …
This CEO sounds so retarded, at the same time its sad that companies take advantage of workers and do not pay them well. Every job should be having worker unions, only retards would not unionise.
He mentioned of going abroad where its easy to replace people with no rules and protection.
Workers from whole work should unite to prevent exploitation and receive fair benefits. Its really strange to imagine that people still haven’t done it.
cant saying stuff like “I hope you will quit Sii very soon” be treated as harassment?
