A Ukrainian friend of mine had to leave her home and is in Belgium for the time being. She needs to choose a mutuel. Are any considered better value for money? Better customer service etc?

Would be grateful for your wisdom!

  1. No children involved? if YES go for CAAMI/HZIV

PS: your list is inly valid for Brussels, the rest of the country has other offers.

  2. depends what you requere most.

    the difference is in:
sport fee reduction (like join a sport federation and get a discout)
    dentest reduction
    eye doctor reduction
    New child bounty,

Could try a tool like this:

    [https://www.spaargids.be/sparen/ziekenfondsen-vergelijken.html?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F](https://www.spaargids.be/sparen/ziekenfondsen-vergelijken.html?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F)

it lets you pick what you find important and shows the differences.

  3. CAAMI/HZIV is free. You might get less advantages like ‘no cashback when you join a sportsclub’ or something, but you get the essentials. I’m thinking of switching from CM to HZIV myself.

  4. Switched to helan, because they give a discount on the administrative costs for pwa cleaning ladies.

  5. Don’t go to the mutualités chrétiennes, really take my advice, I had a lot of bad experiences with them and I know many people that had problems with them as well.
