Serious question, how do I clear condensation inside without warming the car so? I’ve one of those reusable dehumidifier sacks but it’s not worth a bollox. If i wipe the condensation off, it still fogs over leaving me unable to see out, therefore drive.
So don’t let it idle to heat up, heat it up by driving which puts a cold engine under even more stress. Sounds logical
I’m sick of this idling and global warming shite, what percent of my emissions is idling? I drive about an hour a day
Idling a car to warm it up in the morning is a pet peeve of mine. It takes ages for an idling engine to get warm and the clatter of a diesel on tickover is just unpleasant to listen to.
What a pile of shite. People spend more time stationary in traffic every day than the few minutes to warm ur car.
Meanwhile, sitting in traffic jams is ok.
What a load of tosh……
I’d rather NOT get into a mobile fridge thanks.
Ok this is a dumb article. I thought the whole point was that thieves could come along as steal your car. Emissions/bad for the engine is a stupid point.
I only do it when the windscreen has frozen.
The amount of people who don’t actually know how to demist a window is gob smacking.
Heating on to demist option, air set to recycle not new intake.. less than one minute to clear
Don’t cars have block heaters?
Is this true for diesel? They only mention petrol engines in the article.
I drive a diesel it’s needs to idle for 30secs to 1min or else it will do damage and need more parts replaced quicker you wouldn’t get out of bed and start sprinting around the place straight away same with a car
EV pre-warm ftw 🙂

My recently acquired car has a feature that allows me start it up and preheat from an app. No way am I forgoing the novelty of that this winter. Thinking about it, I wonder if I could automate that from my alarm clock…..
