  1. Because many people would rather join the elitists than beat them. It’s a growing trend in the modern world: people don’t want to fix systemic issues, just find ways to exempt themselves from the downsides. See: the elite planning to avoid climate apocalypse by fleeing to space or a bunker.

  2. hmm maybe because the actual left has been destroyed and the new-left wokes only care aboout and obsess over social values than economics?

  3. I’d say it’s because egalitarian and societal change happens at glacial speed. You are not going to notice a tangible change in just a handful of generations.
