Which in practical terms means Romania cannot join either since it was expected we would join at the same time so we did not invest in the reinforcement of the Romania-Bulgaria border.
Rip.
We had a good try atleast.
We we go again with assholes being assholes, as always!
Too bad we have such weak people in our governments to not sue them for every shit they have done to us, every shit their companies did to us, push their companies out of our countries!
Fuck this garbage behavior!
After 15 years of waiting, I’m definitely not gonna take another rejection easily, life it’s too short for that.
I hope the next EU-skeptics / far-right parties that I will vote on the next elections will finally do what is required as I see the current ones definitely don’t have the balls to handle these assholes.
Either we’re a union or we’re not, it just useless to fake it.
Can they join forces to kick Austria out of Schengen? Drag them with you!
After the Council of Ministers, Minister Hoekstra of Foreign Affairs said that it is “still too early” to agree to Bulgaria’s accession. Only when it is clear that the country is a well-functioning rule of law state, which is able to tackle corruption and organized crime, can the Netherlands make a new assessment, he says.
According to Prime Minister Rutte, it will be “perhaps next year”. But until now there are still concerns about border control, “Theoretically you would run the risk that a migration flow will start via such a country.” He first wants to rule out the possibility of illegally crossing the border between Turkey and the Schengen area in Bulgaria “with a 50 euro note”.

So this is the reason.
From the article in question:
>It is not yet certain whether the admission of the three countries will be treated as one “package”. In that case, the “no” against Bulgaria could also have consequences for the other two countries.
I thought they were voting separately for each country. I sure hope so.
