Supreme Court ruling on Scottish independence shows the SNP’s strategy isn’t working

  1. Depends on their strategy. Now they can spend the next umpteen years grumbling about how Westminster doesn’t respect Scotland. Far easier to do that and play on people’s anger than to have to actually deliver independence

  2. Ah yes, the unelected prime minister is refusing to respect the will of the scottish people as expressed not just in the last election, even though the 7 year interval as set down in the NI precedent has passed, and there has been monumental, historic change in circumstances in the interim.

Clearly, the SNP has the wrong strategy!
I mean clearly, a democratic mandate is no basis for decisionmaking round here..

*OpENdemOCracy* seem to care about democracy just as much as the DUP or the Tories!

  3. This is getting downvoted – obviously – but the writer is a supporter of Scottish Independence frustrated at the SNP’s tactics in achieving it. He thinks it’s an ideal chance for Independence giving what’s happened as the SNP are missing it.
