Anybody watch 1899 on Netflix. It’s from the creators of Dark. I really enjoyed, some great twists and visuals. But lidl Version of Connor MacGregor takes me out of it every time I see his face.

  1. That’s the Aldi version actual, lidls one comes with a hiking stick from the weekly specials due to the gammy leg

  2. Dark and this show use crafty trinkets more than good writing to carry the show. Still enjoyable but could someone explain what all these damn trinkets do?

  3. Thank feck it wasn’t just me thinking that, a bit distracting expecting things to descend into a brawl when he appeared 🤣

  4. I enjoyed it. Its no masterpiece, but the twists had me guessing which never happens. My superpower is naming a twist and how something enda within twn minutes.

  5. Wait till you Google the actor himself and you’re like how the feck did this fella come out looking like MacGregor? A bitta beard can do a lot

  6. Halfway thru ! It’s class 🙂

It looks like Connors slightly older clean living brother .. Sean MacGregor. Works in a bank.

  7. I thought it would be class but quickly got bored with it. It was trying to do too many things at once and felt all over the place like they were writing it as they went. I had half guessed the big reveal and was so sick of it by the end I didn’t care about the rest of it.

Doubt I’ll watch the 2nd season.

  8. Im just after finishing episode 6 and I’m so so fucking bored of it. Going to stick it out till the end since I’ve gotten this far but my god I’m so bored by it.

  9. I quit pretty early on is it actually worth watching? I couldn’t hack Dark dubbed and I am finding it harder to follow subtitles (I am trying to get used to wearing glasses). I much prefer subtitles to dubbing my eyesight has just changed a lot but not enough to imagine the dubbing is real 🥴
