I know this is a stretch but I have to try it.
My wife just moved to Lux a month and a half ago an yesterday she lost her wallet with personal documents and money inside between [parking place Jean Fohrmann](https://goo.gl/maps/sdMRT8XgULFpiYte7) and [Café Valpaços](https://goo.gl/maps/MNYGjFcLkwVnyydP8). She paid for parking with card so she had her wallet with her there.
She tried asking for video surveillance around the place/streets but no luck. The case is reported to the police already.
If anyone knows anyone around Dudelange that finds documents with the name “Mafalda” please contact me. Thank you very much.

Good luck to your wife, also check with the police.
Call police, check Facebook messages (if your wife has an account in her real name), check whether cards have been used, block cards (if you can). Potentially wait a day or two to cancel cards if they haven’t already been used – reasonable chance someone will turn it in if it wasn’t used immediately, and cancelling cards costs a fair amount.
I’ve found several wallets, passports, and phones over the years. Wallets and passports I contacted the person directly on Facebook or by email, except for the wallet I found of a teenage girl who didn’t have a Facebook account or obvious online presence under her real name. That one I dropped off at the police.
One phone I turned into the police as no one called it in the 12 hours I kept it in my hands, the other someone called about an hour after I found it, and I picked up and then met up with them.
Why didn’t you block the cards yet?
