Isn’t this headline just stating the obvious?
If the average gap is 13 years then there will inevitably be school that aren’t inspected for years. Equally, a proportion of schools with a certain rating will do worse, just as others will do better, especially if the performance measure is relative to the whole population, i.e. Average performance improvement.
I’ve not read the article as the headline suggests the article is stating the obvious.
Am I missing something here or is this a failed attempt at sensationalising a statistical inevitably?
I look forward to the Tory MPs trying to contain their smiles when interviewed about this.
I always thought this when looking at schools/nurseries. It seems odd that you can still use the pull of being outstanding 10 years ago with nothing in between.
Sure seems like a big ol’ coincidence with what party happened to take power back around then!
Maybe I’m naive but how do grammar schools fail? Don’t they have the brightest students and most motivated parents, with the time and resources to hold the school to account. Seems really hard for them to mess up.
