Only took 12 years to reach the obvious conclusion. Lots of big brains at that Think Tank I’m sure.
At least the Leopards won’t be hungy for a while
> There was excitement in the 00s from millennials, who were entering the labour market, about Cameron’s Conservatives
That’s one hell of a bubble.
Took the enabler long enough.
>He said that Bright Blue had a good record of getting policies adopted by government – it was the first Conservative thinktank to call for net zero to be implemented across government. But he said the pace of change had been glacial and frustrating.
>
>“Bright Blue came up this idea of shared parental leave for working grandparents, a good idea, and particularly at a time when people in their 50s and 60s are leaving the labour market in record numbers. The government said they would implement it in 2015. And it still hasn’t been implemented.”
So he’s actually just mad they stopped listening to his thinktank. As opposed to screwing over millennials which they’ve been doing since 2010.
I can imagine how it went down. David Cameron saw this guy’s thinktank supporting the Conservatives in the mid-late 2000s and realised his support could help him get into power. Cameron agreed to some policies only superficially like the net zero pledge. Simultaneously Cameron planned on shutting down Labour’s nuclear plans, in addition to ending onshore wind projects and solar subsidies.
Once in power Cameron’s government just ignored this guy’s thinktank. They already planned on alienating millennials and younger with the tuition fee rise and no longer needed Millennial support to remain in power. But it took this guy 12 years to notice they didn’t give a crap about any of his policy suggestions, yet still he doesn’t realise David Cameron’s two governments only hindered the chances for net zero.
80’s millennial, don’t give a shit about these lying fucks, not just Tory but across the board. Same bullshit different decade.
