Some Spectacular Autumn Colors in Ravensdale, Co. Louth, Ireland.

  1. I drive past Ravensdale at least twice a week. I must make it a priority to drive through it this week.

When I first saw this picture by local Co. Louth photographer Mark Duffy I was thinking this is New England or somewhere in that neck of the woods, he must be on holiday!

The picture was taken 10 days ago.

How nice to see it as being somewhat local to myself.

A simple but stunning capture in my opinion and as good as something you’d see in New England?

  2. Anyone else follow the photographer on Instagram?

He’s very technical and although he seems to be all about teaching other photographers he seems incredibly adamant that everything he says is correct.

Every few weeks there’s a rant that his posts don’t get enough likes and he tags Instagram and spams that they’re hiding his posts from people, the algorithm is always against him.

He goes on mad pretentious rants that modern music is all shite as well as movies just really outdated opinionated stuff that most people don’t wanna see they’re following him to just see photography.

Seems like an alright guy just sometimes the stuff he says is so fucking pretentious and off putting.

Then he releases a merch line of “worlds okayest photographer” t-shirts, the most overused and cringey idea people have been doing for years.

I know probably seems like I’m waffling on but for someone with growing popularity who I initially had huge interest when I found them, he just really has such a caveman approach to everything he does.

  3. Not the actual colour though, is it? Even I would be capable of adequate object selection in Photoshop to have prevented turning the clouds orange.
