1. A citizen’s assembly sounds like FFG don’t mind it passing eventually but want to wash their hands of it being their ‘fault’ to conservative voters.

3. I think this is extremely positive. I’m no fan of Harris but him being there and not outright dismissing the bills is a good step forward! The debates are finally happening and I honestly believe change is right around the corner!

4. So the motion by Labour is a way to say we support it but not today instead of voting for the Bill introduced?

5. As a non-drug user, I am fully behind decriminalisation of all drugs and then as an aside, the legalisation of Cannabis, LSD and MDMA.

   I don’t believe in legalising heroin, cocaine, etc. but if they are decriminalised, you will cut down on so many pointless imprisonments and overdoses.

   For Cannabis, if you legalise it you are getting a huge boost in tax revenue, cutting down drastically on the numbers in court for minor drug offences and also most importantly taking away a huge chunk of profit from criminal gangs.

   I suggest legalising LSD and MDMA too mainly for their utility in treating mental illnesses when combined with therapy. Though I don’t really feel like selling them in stores similar to cigarettes, alcohol and potentially cannabis – primarily due to the small, but ever-present chance of adverse psychological or physical effects if taken outside of a safe environment in a proper manner.

6. I would like one, just one anti legalisation TD explain to me why alcohol is not only legal but actively promoted in this country while people are in jail for having a few grams of weed in their pocket.

7. 1 out of 10 children born in Ireland have some degree of fetal alcohol syndrome. But you won’t hear them mention that -.-
