Sushi in Estonia

Sushi in Estonia from Eesti

  1. Hi guys!

I’ve recently been to Estonia and wanted to have sushi while there.

I searched a lot of restaurants and didn’t find any buffet/ all you can eat ones so ended up going to a regular one (Amijami sushi).

The sushi was good, but very little salmon rolls and a lot of fake crab ones (I do like them, but not what I’m used to).

Here in Portugal we have a ton of sushi buffets/ all you can eat and they are not that expensive (from 13 to 20 euros).

This video is from one of them; lots of rolls and a lot of salmon!

I just wanted to ask if there are any restaurants like this in Estonia and I didn’t research properly, or if maybe this is just not to your taste.

I plan on coming back and I love my sushi lol

    Thanks!

  2. We don’t have any sushi buffets and I’m afraid that it’s not because people wouldn’t go there but that they would go there too much. Sushi here is crazy expensive (even more than everything else) and no one wouldn’t like to work so much if they can ask a same price for just one serving. However, in Helsinki there are a lot of sushi buffets.

  3. We used to have a few places in Tallinn that had the sushi conveyor belt (sushirong in Estonian, literally “sushi train”), but sadly, they’ve all closed since then. All you can eat places tend to die out quickly here, I assume they aren’t profitable.
