Punish everyone who is the subject of allegations. Guilty until proven innocent is the only way.
It’s a totally independent process which was brought into effect in 2003 because the police weren’t seen as harsh enough in disciplining their own officers. Now it’s usually a barrister/KC who is given all the facts who decides the punishment. That person decided to sack only 10 of 412.
Should the headline say “out of 109”?
303 weren’t found guilty so why would those ones be sacked?
Having a low threshold for starting an investigation is probably a good thing.
What a great result. 412 investigations, and only ten of them turned out to be Bent.
Didn’t know the met office even had 412 people. I guess when you add in all the local weather reports it starts to mount up.
I was wondering about the ones who were told to reflect upon what they did and write about it.
