Which populations feel their country is on the wrong track?

  1. I am from Canada. I can confirm that Canadians are not happy with the direction.

I also spent a year in Mexico. Not sure which Mexicans were surveyed but it did not seem to me that the majority of Mexicans were happy with their direction either.. very surprising this poll claims 50% are. Although I spent time amongst the younger generations who might be more discontented than the older ones.

  2. I am surprised that Belgians feel worse than e.g.,

    * Italy which is per capita still poorer than before the 2008 financial crisis, has a higher debt than Belgium (as % of GDP), faces continually high levels of corruption, a shrinking population, an enduring migration crisis, and now a far right party heading the government
    * Japan which has now three decades of economic stagnation, one of the highest debt levels in the world, a shrinking population, and unfriendly relations with most of its neighbors

We have plenty to feel bad about in Belgium though, just not as much as many other countries.

  3. As an Indian who lived in Belgium for 5yrs, I say the smileys should be switched n it will be right both for BE and India.
Rofl looking at Indian numbers 😃
