  1. i’ve read that climate change is starting to affect the path of the jet stream. given that great britain has artificially warm weather for its latitude due to the jet stream, if it changes path the isles are in for some cold winters…

  2. For cntext lowest temperature for European part of Turkey(Thrace) is -19,5°C and its -46.4°C for the Asian part.

  3. No, it’s -49,1 °C here from January 2009 in a frost hollow on Komna, so not inhabited.

    -34,5 was recorded in a village of Babno polje.

  4. Every other country: Recorded in some remote area or a mountain region

    Poland: Recorded just outside Warsaw

    You can actually pick any spot in the country and be sure that -35 did happen there in the past 100 years.

  5. The Norwegian marker is in the wrong place. The right place is Karasjok, it is close to, and North-West of the Finnish placemarker.
