  1. On a scale from funny to not funny, this is not funny.

The machines aren’t hard to use. It’s like the joke about trains being late; they try to replicate a popular joke for cheap laughs.

  2. The ticket machines are genuinely easy to use, I’ve proudly bought tickets within 60 seconds with these machines…

  3. Another thing I don’t like about Mike Casa is their standup comedy act, I don’t know dude, I just want them to be funny.

  4. I agree that its stupid that your ticket is bound to a route. Just sell me a pair of starting and destination points, then let me use any trains that may be conveniently timed in the validity period.

  5. This is just a re-heated Seinfeld joke “So what’s the deal with airplane food”? This guy should try new material.

  6. Hä? Sitt wenn sind die automate schwierig zum bediene? Und wer, wo unter 40i isch, brucht die automate überhaupt no? Lauft doch alles übers handy…
Und sitt wenn gitts englischi comedy shows bi eus i de schwiiz?
Und wieso will ich dem typ en chlapf gäh?

  7. I think, SBB could make a main assumption (Adult, no Halbtax, direct route). So if you say I want to go to Bern, it would display the price (for an Adult without Halbtax route via Olten) and you can pay. At the same display show on the lower half the other options (Child/Senior/Halbtax, alternative route, additional rebate (after 9 o’clock, special tickets etc.), multi-fare tickets (return or 6 trips), additional passenger and if necessary the diabetes type).

So in 90% of the case would be select the destination, set if you have Halbtax and pay.

This would be my idea and as I do not represent the average Joe, a vote would show what an average Joe needs.

  8. What is he on about?
he lists like 2 out of the 3 questions it asks you and then start making up stuff.
you should use the App anyways and learn how to read trainmaps.
I’d like to see his reaction to trains in italy or france.
(and even there it’s pretty easy imo)

  9. you can tell who are the Swiss in this thread based on how much they protest that the machines are actually very easy and pleasant to use

(imo they arent bad but sometimes the touchscreens are kinda gnarly)
