  1. >Terrorist offenders will face longer sentences if they commit crime while in prison, Dominic Raab has said.

Had me wondering what sort of crimes they’re referring to and how big an issue this is. Strangely enough not much information givin on this. I could just be being cynical, but this sounds like an attempt at simply looking busy

  2. Tories trying to sound “tough on crime” while chronically underfunding police, courts, and preventative social services, repeatedly breaking the laws they make for the rest of us and encouraging terrorist attacks with inflammatory, extremist rhetoric like describing asylum seekers as “an invasion.”

Here’s an idea Raab, if you want to be “tough on crime,” start with all the wrongdoing in your own party and appropriately funding the public services that prevent and deal with crime.

  3. > Currently, prisoners will usually get a maximum sentence of 42 days for offences carried out behind bars.

What, like, any offence? If they chib another prisoner, it’s a maximum 42 days extra?

  4. I’d be interested to see how those who are in for life are going to be punished. I mean if your in for life then what else can they do besides increase a life sentence …. you weren’t getting out anyway so no loss.

  5. I always love it when Tories try to be “tough on crime” and come out with utter nonsense like that

    Why terrorists, why not anybody?
