This adverts pretty depressing. Imo Christmas adverts are supposed to be happy and about getting to forget the troubles of the world albeit temporarily this does the opposite,I know it’s supposed to be humourous and tongue in cheek but instead it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Edit:I’m going to leave this up but after reading the responses I just want to apologise for getting worked up in hindsight I feel pretty silly and I rightly deserve the piss getting taken out of me anyway hope everybody who reads this has a happy Christmas
Yeah of course it was… because it was a joke, if it went over your head then it says more about you as an individual rather than the advert.
Stupid advert really, but playing along let’s hope Santa comes to the U.K. before South Africa otherwise he ain’t getting in.
The 5,000 crazies think everybody is as crazy as them – they were even proposing to boycott Tesco because they jokingly mentioned Vaccine Passports in this TV advert. :O
Just as well I’m not in charge of the Advertising Standards Agency as I would written back individually to say ; “Feck off , you fecking nutter!” 🙂
The uproar over this was particularly amusing good work tesco marketing team
Does Santa choosing to get the vaccine imply he can in fact be killed by mortal means?
Look I ain’t no antivaxer but I’m pretty sure Santa is immortal
I’m not a fan of the ad promoting stupidity but equally fuck the antivax loons.
If you don’t get the vac then you’re on the naughty list. Unless you cannot get the jab.
I’ve always wondered what kind of people have the energy to complain about a bloody advert of all things… I’ve never once seen any advert and thought ‘right, that’ll strongly worded letter to ofcom right now’… Honestly just go on with your life…
Vaccine passports are a contentious issue.. stirs the emotions.. I don’t think people would’ve complained otherwise…
As an Aussie trying to get home the plane having to stop start really spoke to me lol
