  1. We’re 1st or 2nd on obesity levels now that the uk has left the EU. I find it hard to believe that we’re beating countries with a “Mediterranean Diet” like Italy or Spain. Actually just realised This is life expectancy at birth which is different then life expectancy of the entire population. We’re high on this because we have the second youngest population in Europe. I.e. we have more babies as a percentage of the population than other countries. With medical advancements of last 50 years babies from any country in EU are gonna live to a older age than someone in their 40’s today. Should look at life expectancy Not life expectancy at Birth. Will tell you a lot more about the actual health of the country. Spain, Italy and Greece are at the top of that because of life style and diet.

  2. I thought they were warning us thatwe were suppose to become a very obese country in a few years, that was a while back

  3. This doesn’t seem right, we seem so much lazier and fatter than the other European countries. I’ve seen a few things like this recently where it made me realise that however bad things are over here, it’s bad everywhere. We top aa lot of European polls, the one for rental/ housing costs as well

  4. Well duh, we dont you paying extortionate rent short term, then they dont make nearly enough profit off your life

  5. Of all the stats determining quality of life, the lad with the sickle is the hardest to argue with.

That, or the banshee has gotten lazy with affluence.

  6. And that’s now. There’s a ton of discussion going about the CSO Tables being updated to show an even longer life expectancy here, over 90.
