You know what number I had real trouble finding? HMRC Customer Support. I got given about five numbers that were all disconnected, took me a couple hours to find the right one. I’ve called three times, I still haven’t been able to speak to a human. They tell me to use their online chat system which has, in my experience, never ever worked.
I was hoping they would have one for eBay, and a free phone for Virgin Media but they didn’t. Time to navigate that ancient site saynoto0870.
Dear Vodafone, My landline is broke. I do not have a mobile.
V: The landline team will only contact customers via voice services. BTW We have locked you out of online chat. Thanks for the cheque.
Had some info for updates to the website:
* Number listed for McKesson UK is actually the number for AAH/lloyds, two subsidiaries they’re in the process of selling.
* Phoenix medical number is 01928 750 500.
[and then I checked how the data is obtained](https://companydirectory.uk/add-update-company), and it doesn’t really tally with this comment from op/founder of the website/creator of the NUM protocol it uses:
>Some online-only companies make it really hard to reach them and only advertise support numbers deep inside their support system, so I think it’ll be a while before we can add eBay.
If just taking NUM info, it’ll never give you support numbers unless they specifically are opting in to publish this info, correct? Why would a company go to that effort if it wasn’t already publishing their support numbers.
How many UK companies actually use phone numbers in house?
All my work conversations are on Slack / Teams. I officially have a DDI line (gatewayed into Teams), but I think I’ve used it once in the last year. If I call anyone external, it’s on my personal mobile.
Just eat need a telephone number badly their help site is atrocious

Is this a site you’ve built OP?
If so, this smacks of advertising?
