It sucked when I had a connection flight through Switzerland and didn’t realise they weren’t part of the free-roaming in the EU.
Just a reminder that Switzerland isn’t part of the EU, and hence roaming charges there are heart breaking.
What’s the story with the UK and roaming?
Does any network here give you 4g when abroad? It’s always been a trickle for me when abroad.
If we lose roaming in NI, I am going to lose my mind.
Using 48mobile and it is absolute shit in trying to get data work when in the EU, been to Czechia and Finland and had to buy local prepaids for the few days been there
Weirdly no Irish phones seem to be able to use data roaming in the canaries but anyone I met there from any other EU country didn’t have this problem. Not sure if the canaries count as EU for legislation like this anyway, but found it odd that it only seems to affect us.
Serious question- does it actually cost our providers to have us get free mobile phone roaming?

As someone living in the England, it would be great if the most idiotic plan hadn’t been enacted to leave the EU.

Wait, since when is this a thing?! I was in Majorca in July and had no clue so avoided internet at all costs until we were in a hotel for fear of huge bill. This would have been amazing for podcasts and Spotify playlists 😭
