It bugged me that some schools gave ( maybe still give ) awards for “ haven’t missed a day of school “. Everybody gets sick and you should try stay at home instead of coming in and infecting everyone else. I know schools are the worst for the spread of these things but I hope this culture of handing the kid paracetamol and sending to school when they are really sick changes now .
I agree with the 20 day thing being silly. My 13 year old has a weak immune system so is constantly sick, this year she has missed about 15 days already. Can’t help but worry about a letter coming! She’s off again today with sore throat and bad asthma!
