  1. Congrats! Would you mind sharing roughly how long it took you since applying? We applied a few months ago so wondering what the current backlog is like (we were told it could be up to 18 months at the time).

  2. I was in Killarney yesterday, and they were having a ceremony, a few signs to it on roundabouts, saw a few cars of people dressed up and obviously heading for it, great stuff and welcome to being a citizen of the best people in the world bar none.

  3. Congratulations and welcome!

While you still have a hazy memory of life before being Irish are there any particularly Irish quirks or customs that you feel you must now adopt?

Edit: I just watched the citizen ship ceremony from Killarney yesterday on Youtube. Stuff like that is always uplifting.
I just watched the ceremony on Youtube. Did you make it to Killarnery/

  4. Congratulations. I love seeing how happy people are to finally be able to call this place home. I hope you have many many great years here!

  5. Congratulations ! Got mine 14 years ago, had been living here for nearly 23 years now and it has been great .

  6. Have a potato and a glass of whiskey,

Funny thing is I actually did that with a mate of mine when she got her citizenship.

  7. Congratulations!

8 years here and counting, as a student though, first as an English student then doing my Bachelors, unfortunately however, none of these years count towards getting a citizenship.
