‘Serbia’s EU candidacy should be put on hold for warm ties with Putin’

  1. Not gonna happen. Every year Serbia gets a visit from a perspective German politician that reiterates what a great partner Serbia is. Yikes this year even the EU Commission president did it. In return EU companies in Serbia get huge tax benefits and custom free export to Russia and Kazakhstan. We must accept that Serbia will be an eternal candidate with 0% of joining. And that’s fine.

  2. Bro we denounced the invasion, sold weapons to Ukraine, took in refugees and Russian draft dodgers (now the Ukrainans, Russians and Serbs are protesting against the war every so often in front of Hotel Moscow), we recognized Ukrainians territorial integrity, voted against Russia on the UN human rights council…

The only thing we haven’t done is put in Sanctions, but remember Serbias biggest export to Russia are plums.

  3. But it already is. No new chapters this year, even tho we met the condition both for opening and closing a few. I don’t know what else is there to block? Dismiss the application? I don’t believe it’s going to happen. We are not helping Russia in any way, but we are not helping Ukraine much either.

  4. Isn’t it already on hold? What’s the point of threatening them with no realizing what was already not going to happen anyway?
