Anyone want to venture a guess as to what is really going behind the scenes here? Because I’m having a hard time believing the “experts” would decide the plane is ok enough to do a 4h30 flight back to Brussels, but not add a 15 minute detour to get all the passengers to their destination.

Modern planes can deal with lightning, won’t fall out of the air, they just need some precautionary checks
From the article: “Voor dergelijke langeafstandsvluchten kunnen passagiers op onze site een schadevergoeding aanvragen van maximaal 600 euro.”
Ik ben dit jaar met Brussels Airlines ook eens 5+ uur te laat toegekomen, succes aan iedereen om het correcte proces om dit aan te vragen op de duikelen, ik vond het niet evident. Ik heb mijn schadevergoeding in augustus aangevraagd en heb vorige week eindelijk voor het eerst iets van Brussels Airlines gehoord, en dat was mij te laten weten dat er eindelijk iemand naar aan het kijken is maar alsnog bezig is met een evaluatie te maken.
Je mag dus lang wachten, of zo’n advocatenbureau in dienst nemen dat 20 tot 30% van de vergoeding als commissie neemt.
