I wanted to keep up a tradition my dad’s done every Christmas season, so this is my second attempt at the cookies.
Aside from what’s on austria.info, do you have any or know a place to find traditional Austrian baking (or cooking) recipes?

Nice. But next time you should make more, so you can feed all the r/austria people
[austria.info](https://austria.info) is ok. Most important recipes are there
Can you make Mostkekserl? 🤤
They look delicious 🤤
One of the most influential cookbooks in Austria is Ewald Plachutta’s “Die gute Küche“. It’s written in German though there are English examples as well but I haven’t read any translated versions.
It covers all essential Austrian dishes and Ewald Plachutta is one of Austria’s most decorated chefs with several restaurants in Vienna. My mom has a copy, I have a copy, my neighbor has a copy… chances are that you will find this in many if not most Austrian households.
Looking legit! 😎
Looks overcooked! You want the dough to remain white not turn yellow. The cookies will soften over 24h by absorbing the jam
A bit more powdered sugar on them than I usually see.. but that’s a very nitty nit to pick. They look absolutely delicious, congratulations!
It’s very Christmassy here…!
