  2. Grandmoms family had to move to Kemijärvi from Old Salla after the war since their home was left on the Russian side of the border. They built new one other side of the bridge in the picture, left, somewhere near the church. Then city/state build decided road or railway was needed there, can’t remember the story fully, they were forced to sell it and it was plowed. At this point they gave up with lapland.

    Did some googling apparently it was after the Winter War, new railroad was build 1940-1941 from Kemijärvi to Salla, this has to be it.
