  1. Many of the British soldiers in Derry in 1972 would have been some of the last British people (for now) to grow up in post war urban slums.

The post world war 2 NHS, public housing, improving economy and welfare help meant average height improved as people had more food and grew up in better circumstances so fewer young men were stunted.

You notice it in pictures from the time the officers are still often much taller than the ordinary soliders as if its world war 1.

  2. we need to take the north back, its rightfully ours by inheritance.

Our irish ancestors walked the north, the disgust on their face will it be shall they know we gave it to the brits

I am one for a united ireland, there shall be no ‘north’

By take back, I mean peacefully. No blood shall be shed for the cuase!

  3. The Scots regiments were usually known as the ‘scotchies’ not exactly Catholic lovers, some of them made the UDR look like playschool teachers. The British soldiers in the pic I believe were the Argyll and sutherland highlanders regiment. A tacking hammer is fuck all to them, they were the first to load up using spent HP2 batteries into their rubber bullet guns.
