Nearly two-thirds of black children and teenagers do not trust police, figures show

  1. Black children appear far more likely to become tangled up in gangs and exposed to all the associated dangers including knife enabled violence and teenage murders in my part of the country (London). Anyone who watches / reads local London news would see how overexposed young ethnic minority males are to serious violence crime.
Is it any wonder that the police would search more teenagers from that community? isn’t it just grimly following the statistics?

  2. True or not, the constant “UK is racist” is going to have an impact on children’s perceptions.

We already know this in other areas, namely public perception of crime levels and actual statistics.

  3. I imagine the same view would be expressed by children/teens on northern council estates that are exclusively ethnic English. I strongly believe its a class issue not a race issue.
