Personally, I believe Irish independence should be celebrated on January 21st as that’s when we actually declared independence. But yeah outside of the 100 anniversary of the Easter rising there hasn’t been much celebration for other dates.
Also the OP of the original thread made a small error, 100 years ago today wasn’t the day of when the vote happened, it was the day when it came into effect. The votes happened in the UK on December 16th 1921 and in Ireland on January 14th 1922.
