I think Craiova is better than Galați. However I would look to see if Cluj, Bucharest, Brașov, Timișoara or Iași (in this order) have the study program that you are looking for. These universities are a bit better in my opinion.
I meant craiova not crovia
Not about it specifically but as a general idea, many years ago some professors had enough of the infighting happening at the older and larger universities and moved to other cities to create their own, with blackjack and hookers as it were.
We don’t see a lot of news from them, neither bad nor good, so you’ll probably get some decent teaching, a valid diploma and that’s about it.
About Galati you’ll probably only get meme answers, you might be better off looking at wikipedia.
Are you planning to stay in Romania ? What do you want to study ?
In or around Galati you can find jobs related to food manufacturing, some industrial engineering and a little IT mostly based on web development frontend.
In or around Craiova most jobs are related to car manufacturing and related fields. It has a few more jobs in IT (again related to the car industry) and electronics.
Galati is closer to the seaside etc and seems a bit safer
Depends what curriculum you are going for, the IT ones in galati are allright, city is allright, could be worse
Galați has a history with engineering schools. The medicine one was created too recently to have developed enough.
The ‘food engineering’ college was one of the best in the country ( they did a lot of research back in early 2000s).
It’s a quiet provincial town. There is a lot of theater happening there, in my opinion (they have festivals, frequent shows..). Moldavia is close for cheap shopping of booze, cigars, candy and gas. If you into biking, there are some nice roads across Danube. Nothing else that I can remember.
Source: i lived there for my fist 26 years of my life before moving to Bucharest.
For me, Galati is best city from Moldova(not republic of moldova), but still not a big performance.
