Interesting I always thought that Tesco is in all of Europe. But only now I recall that it really isn’t
Never heard of Metro personally. Also I’m missing Spar, a Dutch multinational that is also all over Europe if I’m not mistaken.
MAXIMA 💪😤
LIDL Fan here, even bought the Christmas sweater (see profile pic) 😬
Aldi just pulled out of Denmark today
I live in Poland but I’ve never seen MAXIMA or METRO.
Btw. TESCO has disappeared from Poland some time ago.
you can find Billa also in Russia
Edit: Aldi is not to be found in austria and slovenia it’s called Hofer there, Spar is also be found in several european countries and is definitely missing in this list
Where is the map for Spar? 🤔
What the fuck is Maxima?
What the hell is Metro? [edit: Ok. Metro=Makro, that i know]
I read it as “Polish supermarkets” and sat there for a solid minute wondering how Carrefour can be a Polish brand…
Tesco is not in Poland any more
Poland, the land of all supermarkets except Billa. Not to mention Biedronka, our most famous supermarket that did not make the list.
Billa 🤮
I’m missing spar so badly in this.
This shows how hard it is to expand into the German market. Aldi/Lidl/Edeka just dominate here
Maxima is Lithuanian, it’s name in Poland is Stokrotka.
Eurospin
What’s the difference between lidl and aldi?
Never heard of Maxima. I have never seen any Metro market. (Central Poland here!)
Thirty minutes after this post: Aldi is selling all their Danish stores and leaving that market.
No Migros? SMH my head
Aldi sold its danish unit to Rema 1000 today
Metro in Italy is only for professional operator they don’t sell to public
