Only in Spain

  1. It seems that this is a minor problem among the full catalog of disasters that the avenue has. It seems to flood with each rainfall and is quite frequently out of service….

Even the mayor from Cartagena nicknames it “pico esquina”. Shame on all of them.

  2. That’s really strange. In Spain (and i think in most of countries) if the goverment need to buy a land, the owner can’t refuse. It’s law.

  3. Pfff, dumbasses. If they don’t want to sell just build the damn road anyways and pay them when they sue.

  4. In my hometown ( llucmajor in Mallorca, Spain.) there was a man who didn’t want to sell his plot so the road could go through. They built it anyway, leaving a windmill as a roundabout.
I’ll see if I can post a photo in the next few days.

  5. To all those complaining about Spain and how bad we do things… you should come to Japan. Outside of the big areas of the big cities, almost every fucking road and street is like that. After three years here, pictures like that don’t surprise me anymore. Spanish roads are awesome, how I miss them…

  6. My favorite are the Bridge expansion joints In Andalusia, speed limit 120kph, expansion gap, 100mm. Feels like youre going to blow a tire. And some do. On a bridge, over a ravine 300m deep…
