Anti-London policies will slow UK’s financial recovery, report says

  1. “The report, London’s Contribution in the UK, concluded regional inequalities could be fixed by increasing overall spending, rather than cutting London’s funding.” So… what you are saying that a policy of austerity reduces economic growth? Damn man, ypu should have said that 12 years ago.

  2. We have let too much of the wealth of this country focus in london. So many industries require you to move to london to get a reasonable wage, except once you get there it is diminished by the cost of living in london.

  3. This is a classic “Feminazis stole my ice cream” argument; other parts of the country getting even the tiniest crumb of investment is “anti-London”.

  4. “Anti London” is an interesting way of phrasing ‘money getting spent outside of London’.

The hypocrisy of following that up with
    >Divisive “them and us” rhetoric about London and the rest of the UK will hinder national recovery

    is pretty staggering.

  5. You can’t just have an economy that’s selling financial assets to one another. At some point someone needs to buy food.

  6. What’s that skinny pyramid on the left? Who allowed all these skyscrapers to be built should be ashamed, they’ve ruined London.
