Similar thing happening in France, this is why I don’t understand our immigrations policies. Who do they benefit? What is the point for anyone to bring immigrants over, naturalise them, and let them be poor and alienated in their own ghettos? It doesn’t make any sense to me.
One person moves in, and so does their family, and their extended family, but all into one or two houses. Multiply this 10000x, and then we have massive overpopulation in small areas not designed or built to house so many people, those areas then *become* deprived, because the resources that they had before don’t stretch near far enough to cover the massive overpopulation.
We imported shitloads of Pakistanis to work in the factories of the north of England and then shut the factories. Most of east Lancashire and west Yorkshire is majority Muslim and there’s no job prospects for anyone there.
I’m from Yorkshire and there are areas that are majority muslim, people that came to work in the old mill towns that the industry then left. There are deprived post-industrial areas all around like this, dead towns without much going on, and not just populated with Muslims but with all people.
Well with brexit coming you will see fewer European immigrants and instead see more Asian and African immigrants, many will be Muslim and this is hardly a huge surprise. I just hope it will be highly skilled individuals who aren’t lumped into deprived areas and placed in a spiral of generational poverty and poor education.
As a native I do think it’s a touch biased to suggest we live in the most deprived areas. If you actually go to these “deprived” areas, yes you’ll see 7 people from 3 generations living in a 3 bed house but that then allows the younger ones to work, save and actually buy their own place in their early 20’s and not have to scrounge about for 15 years trying to save a deposit.
And just because this article suggests we live in the most deprived areas it does not mean we’re living in poverty eating cereal for fucking dinner. We eat proper meals everyday as a family regardless. Plus we as a minority give billions in charity each year to help those less fortunate. So fuck these articles suggesting that we’re some bottom feeding deprived scumbags from the third world.

They got what they wanted (Brexit) by lying about the benefits it would bring.
