RCN still hasn’t even served my Trust with a notice of strike action.
They’re running out of time if they’re going to strike on the 15th.
Good on them. They do incredibly difficult and vital work that deserves more than occasional clapping as payment.
Looking forward to seeing how the gutter press will try to twist these NHS workers into looking like greedy ingrates after we clapped for them
We need to stop using emotional blackmail on nurses. I left teaching because it did not pay me enough to work twelve hours a day and suffer sleepless nights worrying about the next day. Like nurses, I went into it out of love for the job, not the money, however the trade-off was just not worth it. You cannot expect people to put up with an insane amount of stress and abuse from the public for peanuts, then complain when they leave because they are supposed to do what they do out of selflessness. Everyone has their line and nurses are now very clearly marking theirs out for us all to see, which they have every right to do.
Right behind them!
they deserve every penny of the 19% they’re asking for.
Sorry – how can I use this list to see how affected Derriford Hospital is? Anyone know. Near Plymouth.
Devon Partnership Trust led to an inconclusive Google search (seemed to only cover partial wards at Derriford?).
I am so glad that out local nurses have scruples and morals and are not striking.

Shame on those who do.
