Think London is going to need a stabbing forecast on the weather in the mornings going forward, what a shithole.
Was this the 2 stabbings which were being linked, or the stabbing of the friend of Ian Wright, or another stabbing completely separate?
Like American gun crime, I am losing track….

Currently on holiday in Gran Canaria.
Bought a hat from one of the touristy shops on the beach, turns out the owner is from London, moved out here for the weather some 30 years ago.
Got chatting and his two kids work as nurses? In north London.
He said he was chatting to them the other day and they said about the stabbings etc, as they work in the A and E department.
The owner (is mixed race I think?) Said, when I used to go watch Tottenham or arsenal we always used to say, the only thing we need to watch out for is skin heads. He said now? We have to watch out for everyone!
Made me chuckle, but it does seem (atleast in the media) that it is rampant.
8million people living that close together, gonna be some murders, London no worse than most other cities of that demographic and a lot better than some.
Scary. This UK is in a real mess. I work in Glasgow and the state of the city is atrocious. When you walk out of Central station it’s scary, so many homeless people sitting in doorways, people injecting drugs in alleyways. Smashed windows, kids screaming and swearing, completely out of control. No police presence whatsoever.

Let’s see some more stories posted from Birmingham or Bradford. I’m sure it won’t sway the popular opinion that London is a hellhole, but it’d be interesting to see people defend them.

American here…I WISH stabbing were the big violence concern here. Not minimizing your issues, just venting anger that the same turd over here takes out 13 people in less than 2 min with the AR. Our mass shootings don’t even stay in the news more than a day, they happen soo often now.

I dont take any solace in the “it’s gang related” comments. Do you know how often these knuckledraggers get the wrong guy??

Honestly I sometimes take a good long hard look at myself when I ask that question, but it’s the only thing that allays my fears!
Most of the stabbings are gang related so I tell myself that would never happen in my case because I am so straight laced, don’t even drink.
Obviously no stabbing is a good stabbing but It’s important to specify whether there was some motive or prior history between those involved. This headline can imply you’ll get stabbed walking down the street minding your own business.
I’m sure I hear or see some sort of headline about one or more people being stabbed in London every day. Whatever the root cause of this is needs to be sorted ASAP.
I would put my money on poverty.
Bear in mind that London has a very low murder rate for a city of its size. We consider 2/100,000 to be a disaster.
American cities, the safest most desirable wealthiest, mid sized/smaller cities, have murder rates of 3.5/4 out of 100,000. Their ‘dangerous’ cities have murder rates of……50/100,000.
London is extremely safe, and these horror stories of statistically rare crimes (that do happen) do not change that fact. People should take things in context and not start to believe the hype about London.
