The sad thing is that none of this is surprising to anyone who is trans. We are constantly spoken about in the grossest of terms and dismissed as fetishists or mentally ill. These viewpoints are repeatedly reinforced by broadsheet papers.
We constantly see the maximisation of any action by a trans person or ally and the minimisation of actions from transphobes. As a case in point the “doxing” of JK Rowling’s publicly known address drew condemnation from no 10., yet Marion Millar was offered pro-bono legal representation from Joanna Cherry QC MP for doxing a multiple people including a police officer.
I look forward to none of the details of this story being picked up on by any national paper, despite the insatiable thirst for trans related content.
Include you pronouns in your email of you want. If I’m expected to do the same then you’ll be politely told to fuck off.
Open gender neutral toilets by all means but don’t remove gendered toilets in order to do it.
This is not shocking at all to anyone following trans rights in the uk. The gender critical cult has become increasingly radicalised. And they’re fucking terrifying. They started out with a veil of respectability and they became so emboldened by the public’s apathy that the mask has come off and they’re just abusive now. They treat all of us like we’re rapists because we want to exist and don’t want to have to wait seven years for a fucking medical appointment. The scariest thing is the media and government are on their side and there’s nothing we can do about it. This is the worst country in the western world to be trans. When American trans healthcare shits all over ours, you know the lack of it is ideologically motivated. I am so sick of being used as a tool in a culture war to keep tories in power. I just want some fucking healthcare. It’s destroying my mental health.
