Thousands to attend Irish citizenship ceremonies Tags:ireland 6 comments Fair play to them, at least they went the legal route and paid their way unlike the thousands who shouldn’t be in this country. Always nice to see. It’s a big decision to make for anyone, from any country, as it often comes with relinquishing your home country’s citizenship. When they are handing out the citizenships does the speaker say “And there’s one for everybody in the audience” followed by a cheer? They are all welcome. Wonderful to see I’d love to see the naturalisation numbers from other countries to compare. 155,000!? We’ll need another Dublin by the end of the decade.
