Malta tends to accept everyone…otherwise we wouldn’t be tolerant right? It’s one thing to have done crime abroad and that’s it but most of the times these people keep on doing what they did in the past.
Malta doesn’t ask for police clearance certificate before applying for visa.
Malta just needs money nothing else.
God damnit there goes that 200 years streak without any crime in the country I guess 🙂
Its easy to generalize, yet without going into the case nor the kind of people involved. One needs to mention that we are part of free movement zone called Schengen, thus if someone manages to get in from any of the gatekeepers countries involved then one gets a free movement pass within the block. I don’t have proof this gets abused but I have seen mentions of it within other groups especially those trying to find work in Malta where they would tip each other to rather fly to Spain and than to Malta instead of trying to filter through Malta directly.
Btw, a lot of your tax money went into advertising what Malta is. You will not sleep for a week if you knew what went on, what goes on. What promoting Malta means to the criminals in government, the insane things people line Cushcieri said in public and behind voided doors.
Go to conferences and see Malta being discussed by Interpol and the FBI. I saw a picture of one, picture showed a room full of people looking at a big screen which said MALTA rising star of international crime.
Guess what, in Malta they were happy when this was brought to their attention. Malta Enterprise ran a think tank called ‘Think Criminal’ and Dalli identified gambling, prostitution and drugs as the most profitable industries that Malta could exploit, this is why Muscat was so fond of him. Malta has been consistently investing your tax money to establish itself in all 3.
Hard to believe? Well that is the Gahan mentality that allowed your country to be what it is today.
Well as long as they keep the political class entertained with free prostitutes and boys, the political class only to happy to pocket the pay offs. You don’t think only the deputy leader was visiting brothels in Germany?
Remember the team of under cover journalists from France? One of the local law firms who did not bat an eye when they said the client had a criminal record sued them! Wonder how that turned out.
The gaming authority was only requiring police conducts for Maltese working in the industry. The refused to accept the conduct even when told applicants had criminal records. Whistle blowers confirmed this.
