Tories will not reach ‘embarrassingly poor’ nature targets by 2030, Labour says | Green politics

  1. Johnson was claiming to be all for green measures at COP27 and lamented the lack of progress countries have made since COP26, despite being the leader of one of those countries until recently. The Tories love to talk a good game but know that the money comes from the likes of Shell and BP, not grassroots organisations determined to protect the environment. It also helps that people are generally opposed to climate protesters and measures to reduce GHG emission that directly impact them. The Tories don’t want to meet their own targets and are backed by an apathetic voter base; it’s a win-win situation for them.

  2. Well of course they aren’t you only have to look at the water companies debacle to see that they do not care.

  3. No fucking shit?

They’re going backwards on their targets by reinstating fracking and banning solar panels. Basically, we are all going to die and there’s nothing we can do about it
