Oh yeah, and LCH already offers EU based clearing. The 2 invesent banks I’ve worked in since brexit already switched to EU clearing. A click of a button and they can clear in the EU or London.
some how “I told you so” is just not a satisfactory recompense.
It doesn’t really work like that though. Unless they want to turn the currency into a protectionist currency and cause all the problems with that they can’t just do that.
