Not sure which is a worse name for a company, “Octopus” or “Umbrella.”
What is this horseshit? “Sensible businessmen invest lots of money in green energy and do well from it, what bastards” author can’t quite seem to grasp the difference between venture capital firm octopus and energy retailer they invested in, or indeed the spinout that came from said retailer, kraken. Also not sure how they’re managing to shit on Greg Jackson for taking minimum wage and giving the difference away…
> it recorded record revenues of £1.9 billion in 2021 with profits at £25 million.
Those are razor thin margins, and they do not even make up for the losses from the previous year.

The title of this post is misleading, what in the article should I be concerned about?
