Lots of immigrants chose the UK because of English, but without any way there, these people will be available to work in continental Europe.
And British-based companies looking for workers will have to go to where labour is.
Eventually, things will be established like labour pools and supply chains, so even if the UK de-BREXITs, it won’t matter because it’s not coming back. This isn’t like the USA re-shoring industries from China, because the EU aren’t comparable and neither is what is made. These are good jobs, not making disposable crap. Jobs that add value. See: Germany.
I’m not very bullish on the UK. Even if they were doing things with making new laws (which they aren’t), it won’t be fixed overnight. Every day they waste is just making it worse and worse.
Their economy is imploding yet I have not heard any concrete steps or strategy from the government to address this.
