It’s almost as if closing youth centres and sports clubs, and cutting funding to schools all across the country has forced children of low income families into the arms of gangs and other unscrupulous characters on the street.
They’re left for hours on end after school to their own devices because their parents are working themselves to death trying to pay the bills.
Now the police are left running around trying to sort this shit out after the fact, and have no time to deal with less serious issues. Ordinary people are regularly caught in the crossfire, directly and indirectly. Lives are ruined. Yet the party who has overseen this degradation of the fabric of our society will look for everyone else to blame and are totally insulated from any of the consequences.
Housing policy (Town and County Planning Act 1990) forces the parents of these London kids into poverty…
Poverty then impacts their ability to educate themselves and stay out of crime.
Shit Drug policy then creates an opportunity to make crazy money and escape said poverty… but then leads to gangs and stabbings…
If you fixed these two areas (Housing and Drug Policy) I’d wager you could get stabbings down by 75% within a decade… but we won’t lol.
Let them kill each other.
As long as they don’t touch innocent people it doesn’t matter.
